The Arizona Association of Junior High Student Councils, Inc. (AAJHSC) is a membership driven, student oriented organization dedicated to developing leadership in middle level and junior high student councils (6th, 7th, & 8th graders). Member schools enjoy the benefits of participating in the AAJHSC, which provides state leadership opportunities and experiences for student leaders and their advisors. We have been in existence for over 45 years. Each year we have renewed commitment to serving our membership. The AAJHSC has been created to perform and conduct the following: a) To unite the junior high and middle school student councils of the state of Arizona into an association. b) To exchange ideas and information with member schools. c) To create and promote constructive and harmonious relations with member schools. To educate students in the workings of a student council. d) To enhance the five goals of student council: 1. Citizenship 2. Academic Achievement 3. Leadership 4. School/Community Involvement 5.Diversity

NATIONAL JUNIOR HONOR SOCIETY
ADVISORS: Ruben Gutierrez & Bobby Khanna
The NHS and NJHS National Council establishes the national standards for all NJHS chapters. Local chapters create their own bylaws that must be consistent with and comply with the NJHS national constitution. Any student in grades 7 through 8 in a school with both an official charter of the National Junior Honor Society and an up-to-date affiliation with the NJHS national office is eligible for consideration for membership in NJHS All membership selection is handled through the local school chapter. NJHS is more than just academic recognition. The NJHS chapter establishes guidelines for selection that are based upon a student’s outstanding performance in the areas of scholarship, service, leadership, citizenship, and character.

Yearbook Club consists of student who make up the yearbook staff. Responsibilities are takes photos of events throughout the school year and create students and staff memorabilia. Yearbook sales will be available soon. Please check back at a later date for sale.
ADVISOR: Sarah Clare
Florence K-8 Art Club is comprised of 6-8 grade middle school students. Meetings are conducted under supervision of club officers and club sponsor, Mrs. Clare. The club meets once a week every Thursday after school until 5 p.m. In Art Club we explore various art media, techniques, and styles. As part of its purpose, the club gives back to the school through projects that add beauty and unity to the school campus and culture. This year we look forward to tie-dying, learning about and creating clay sculpture, painting on canvas, and other fun projects.
