STEVE BESICH SCHOLARSHIP FUND
Steve Besich committed much of his career to public service, including his role as Gila County Manager. The Steve Besich Scholarship Fund honors his legacy with scholarships for rural Arizona students whose families work hard for the future of their communities.
To qualify, applicants must meet the following requirements:- Full-time students with a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Attending an accredited university or pursuing a career/technical education.
- Dependents and grandchildren of Apache, Cochise, Gila, Graham, Greenlee, La Paz, Mohave, Navajo, Pinal, Santa Cruz, or Yavapai county employees. The grandparent must be a retiree with a minimum of 20 years of service to one of the above counties.
Deadline to apply is March 1, 2023. Awards may be renewable for up to four years, and some may cover the cost of attendance in full.

COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIP FROM IVLA
International Virtual Learning Academy (IVLA) understands the importance of a college education for students! They also understand the expense to families of providing a college education for their children. They are proud to announce that they are offering a $1,000 scholarship to a student who will be attending a post-secondary school in the Fall of 2023.
The scholarship is available for anyone who is attending college next fall. This applies to both community college and university-bound students. A minimum GPA of 2.5 is required along with a 300-500 word essay (topic found on website). All applicants must submit by April 30th, 2023.
